Richmond

Some of our favorite spots in Virginia (to help us remember!)

Best Richmond Restaurants
  1. Ironfish-  Love this! Pricey. Good bread to start, really good dishes like goat cheese stuffed chicken and yummy scallops
  2. Proper Pies: Little pot pies filled with different things. Cheap ($5-6), fun food! Loved the pork and apple pot pie.
  3. Tarrant's Cafe- We loved everything we got- the very best is the CHICKEN AND WAFFLES! They have a happy hour with half off a bunch of appetizers.
  4. Hogshead Cafe- I don't even love BBQ, but now I do because of this place. So good and so unique. LOVED the burger with bacon, pulled pork, onion rings, AND cole slaw all on a pretzel bun. BEST sweet potato fries with maple dipping sauce in the whole world.
  5. Juleps- Very Richmondy experience. Nice dinner spot, best fried green tomatoes and loved their short ribs/chicken dish.
  6. Helen's- this place is pricey and has been around for a long time. Really good bread to start and we LOVED their mac n cheese with really good cheeses and crab, good burger, and good bacon stuffed chicken
  7. Millie's Diner: Brunch spot. It's Eric's favorite eggs benedict he's ever had. They also have fun breakfast dishes with an Indian twist
  8. Kuba Kuba: Cuban food. The Huevos Rancheros are our fav
  9. Mint: Richmondy feel. Sadly we do not like their new dinner menu, but LOVE their brunch (the hangover and french toast!)
  10. Comfort: Sal's FAV. Expensive southern food. You choose the meat and the then the sides you want- the scalloped potatoes/mac n' cheese are the best. We would also definitely get the banana dessert again!
  11. Buzz and Ned's- BBQ
  12. Olio- Lunch spot. Good sandwiches/salads
  13. Edo's Squid- italian food with a fun atmosphere. We loved the gorgonzolla pasta.
  14. The Hill Cafe- Fried Chicken, good price!
  15. Lulu's- Yummy brunch! We loved everything on their daily specials menu.
  16. Baker's Crust- they make this list just for their banana rum dessert crepe!
