Back to VA

• Right when we got back to Virginia, we went to D.C. to celebrate New Years with Jeff and Katie. We found the perfect opportunity to try Georgetown Cupcake. Good, but I've had better. Had to try it though.

• One night when we were playing games with Matt and Natalie, we were talking about trips and I said that we should just be spontaneous and leave the next day to go somewhere. Matt kept saying he couldn't go because he had to get ready for a test (which was like...4 weeks away.) Twenty minutes later Matt said, "If we were spontaneous....where would we go?"

And thats how we wound up at Raleigh, North Carolina! Perfect little temple trip just a couple hours away. In each of the temple pictures at least one person's eyes are closed.

• These were the most ghetto, delicious chicken biscuit sandwiches. We found this restaurant from food network tv shows. Delish.

• Then Chris and Tara came to visit! Such a blast showing them around Richmond.

• Saw Hitchcock at the Byrd Theater. SO good. Best part about this picture is the lady who took it specifically asked us if we would like the "Byrd" logo banner thing in our picture. We said yes...

• Tara wanted to get out and do something. Surprise, surprise Eric suggested the rope swing into the river. (FREEZING COLD.) When we got there, there was a little 14 year old boy wanting to do it too. He went first because Chris and Eric were taking forever. He hit the river before he even got away from the jump and basically started crying because his mind was frozen. That was all it took for all of us to head back to the car! 

• Just hangin' with Thomas Jefferson at Monticello. Charlottesville is always so fun. Sad to see them go!
